Two players on the Assumption College ice hockey team earned NE-10 Conference Weekly Honors after their notable performances over the last two games.

Junior goaltender Chris Hemhauser continued his hot streak in net, snagging his third NE-10 Player of the Week honor this season. Hemhauser put up some extremely impressive numbers over the past week, notching a total of 56 saves, a .966 save percentage and just 1.41 goals against in two contests. He also posted a season-high 45 saves in the Hounds’ 1-0 loss to Saint Michael’s on January 20.

First year Cam Laughlin also had a productive week as he earned his very first NE-10 Rookie of the Week honor. Despite the Hounds’ 6-5 loss to Suffolk on January 22, Laughlin tallied three points on two goals and an assist, leading the Hounds in scoring. His two goals on Thursday were the first two of his collegiate career.

They will be back in action tonight, February 4, when they travel to Stonehill College.
